BURST FILMS is a full-service production and post-production company based outside of New York City. Led by principal and founder, Eli Brown, it has produced nonfiction media for public television for over 25 years in a variety of roles.

PRODUCTION - we specialize in budget-conscious non-fiction material, though we have been known to take a detour down the narrative fiction route on occasion. We can film with a variety of cameras, record high-quality location sound, or produce your entire production from the ground up with our contacts of talent across the country and production management savvy.

POST-PRODUCTION - we specialize in finishing services for low-budget productions, providing the best bang for your buck when you’re trying to cross the finish line for a broadcast deliverable. We’ve also been developing and perfecting remote post-production workflows for the budget-aware producers for over 20 years (well before the pandemic made this a necessity). We polish and legalize your sound mix, work with you to perfect your color correction and grading, caption masters for broadcast (and other platforms), output to a variety of digital formats, and upload your final output quickly and securely to its final destination with gigabit internet speeds that make remote collaboration easier.
